Special Half-day course on Je Tsongkhapa Day

  • A half day course with teachings on the practice of faith- (what is it ? is it necessary ? difference between blind faith and wisdom faith) , reliance on the Spiritual Guide and some explanation of the chanted prayer practice Offering to the Spiritual Guide.

    This course will help us understand the value of a qualified Teacher and Spiritual Guide and how we can become a sincere student on the path to enlightenment.


    • Gen Kelsang Dragpa is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa meditasjonssenter Oslo, and National Spiritual Director for the Nordic Region.

      He has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism since February 1993 has been an ordained monk since November 1993.

      Gen Dragpa teaches topics relevant to our modern society in a light-hearted manner, and skillfully guides meditations for us to experience a deep sense of inner peace and contentment.

    • Session 1: 10:30-12:00

    • Session 2: 12:30-14:00

    • Session 3: 15:00-17:00 (chanted prayers with guided meditations)

    • How should I dress for class?
      No special clothing is required. Come as you are.

    • What do I need to bring to class?
      Nothing! But if you wish to take notes, please bring a pen and notepad.
