Staying Protected- An introduction to the Wisdom Dharma Protector

  • Kadampa Meditasjonssenter Oslo 26 Majorstuveien Oslo, 0367 Norway (map)
  • Once a month at KMC Oslo we practice the extensive sadhana of Dorje Shugden, Melodious Drum Victorious in All Directions. During this puja (chanted prayer) we make extensive offerings and perform other practices to fulfill our heart commitment to rely upon the Dharma Protector sincerely, and to practise the pure Dharma of Lamrim, Lojong and Mahamudra; and to restore any degenerate or broken commitments.

In this short course Gen Dragpa will explain Dorje Shugden's special qualities, how to maintain a constant connection with him, and the practical benefits and essence of this practice.

For those who wish there will be an opportunity to engage in the Melodious Drum puja together after the commentary.

A Dharma Protector is an emanation of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva whose main functions are to avert the inner and outer obstacles that prevent practitioners from gaining spiritual realizations, and to arrange all the necessary conditions for their practice. Dorje Shugden is the Dharma Protector of modern Kadampa Buddhists.

“Dorje Shugden always helps, guides, and protects pure and faithful practitioners by granting blessings, increasing their wisdom, fulfilling their wishes, and bestowing success on all their virtuous activities.” – Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
