Mahamudra — Clarity of the Mind Retreat

This meditation retreat in Strømstad will give us a few days of mental and physical rest where we can recharge ourselves and find some deep inner peace. Suitable for both beginners and those who wish to deepen their practice.

If you realise your own mind you will become a Buddha; you should not seek Buddhahood elsewhere."

- Buddha Shakyamuni

Meditation on our own mind is one of the most beneficial and profound practices in Buddhism. By understanding the nature and function of our mind, we will be able to understand how our mind produces our world, our feelings and our experiences and how it will continue after death.

During this retreat which is based on Buddha's Mahamudra teachings, Gen Dragpa will guide you through beautiful and relaxing meditations on the mind to get a feeling for the blissful clarity of your own mind. This will give you a direct experience of what your mind is and how your thoughts and feelings arise.

These meditations have great practical benefits – from calming our mind and reducing distractions, anxiety and delusions; to improving our concentration and mindfulness. They also increase a feeling of bliss and the ability to realise directly our own very subtle mind and, finally, to attain actual enlightenment..

Everyone welcome | in English
